Sorry, my post seems to have been gobbled up by the pic. Was checking if anyone got the BYD package and if the quality was good? And also if others got the ceramic paint elsewhere and what the price comparison was? Thanks

Go look at Tintacar. For $1695, I got ceramic paint, darkest legal tint, and interior protection. (On a seal) Nearly half the price and more value.

Byd extras are quite pricey compared to what you can find after market.

Great, thanks.

Ceramic Coating seems to be similar to what you can get locally but I would say that they probably use crap products. Can get Gyeon Infitite or Gtechnic Crystal Serum Ultra applied by a professional for about $1500. These are among the best ceramic coats you can get.

It's not a super-rare Ferrari. You don't need a ceramic coat. It's not going to increase the re-sale value of your vehicle in X years time. Window tinting, get it through an after-market shop, heck, find someone on Facebook to do it for you (markups through Tint-a-car are huge compared to the cost of materials).

Usually the same with any car maker and dealership. Always a premium for accessories and services.

Agree on the ceramic coating. A Mazda salesman tried to sell me Ceramic Coating when I bought my Mazda 3 Astina five years ago which I declined. Despite living near the sea in blazing hot Perth, car having a dark colour and kept in carport it looked almost like new when I recently sold it. I haven’t bothered with it on my Seal.

haha. Yea, I am leaning towards this. Main thinking was that with this being a 4 year lease, the car will most likely sell for well under the balloon payment so I am locking into my mind that this will be a 10-15 year car that I hold onto (fingers crossed the build quality holds up), so was considering things like the paint.

I took a test drive and placed an order today and supposedly the ceramic coating is manufactured in Yatala QLD.
