BYD App Push Notifications

blkmagic23 | 2024-03-28 11:56 | 4 views

Does anyone else's BYD app only send notifications when the app is physically running? I have had my BYD Seal Performance for 2 weeks now but only receive push notifications when I actually open the app which defeats the purpose of push notifications. Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Would be interested to know if I am not the only one experiencing this. Cheers!

you probably need to give it permission to run in the background. this is the setting you want to check https://i.imgur.com/YlBvVex.png

Same here, although the majority of the notifications are Charging start and stop, which are useless. Can't think of any other useful notifications, apart from the car being left unlocked.

The widget is helpful as it displays the range and battery and can be used to Lock/Unlock and a couple more functions. Also, if the car is charging, there is a tini tiny refresh button on the Widget, which if pressed, gives the new range and battery %.

Did it make a difference?

Didn't seem to no.
