Charging Notifications

Hello all, brand new to the BYD family. Just gonna start by saying I absolutely love my Seal U DM-i, coming from 2 Jaguar XEs I wasn't sure but I fell in love with it instantly as soon as I test drove it. Anyway, getting on topic. I have a very small, almost non problematic issue when charging it at home with a granny charger. Everything starts off brilliantly for a good few hours and it charges fine, and then I get about 12 notifications from the BYD app saying "Start charging". As though the car is stopping and starting within a second. This happens generally over the course of about an hour and then stops altogether until the battery is then fully charged. The fact that the car still gets to 100% is all I'm really bothered about but I just wondered if it would be worth taking it back to BYD to be looked at it if anybody knows why it does this? Thank you for any help or advice you have! Autos & Vehicles

if you go to settings in the app and then go to "receive messages" you can turn off charging start notifications, I’m guessing it happens because of power fluctuations.

It’s interesting that there is no ‘Stop Charging’ notifications, which you would expect, even if there was power fluctuations. Turning off the notifications just hides the problem, so I wouldn’t recommend that. I’d be inclined to at least call the dealer about it, and then follow their recommendation as to what to do next…
