Apple CarPlay iOS 26 CarPlay Update but No Changes in BYD Seal U DM-i?

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this—iOS 26 rolled out with a big refresh to Apple CarPlay (Liquid Glass UI, widgets, smarter navigation, etc.), but my BYD Seal U DM-i AWD doesn’t seem to reflect any of these changes. Still seeing the same old CarPlay interface. No widgets, no pinch-to-zoom in Maps, and none of the new app layouts. I’ve confirmed my iPhone is running iOS 26 and CarPlay works, but it’s clearly not taking advantage of the new features. Is this a BYD firmware limitation? Has anyone received an infotainment update that enables iOS 26 features? Or is BYD just slow to adopt Apple’s latest CarPlay enhancements? Would love to hear if: Any other Seal U owners are seeing the same thing Anyone’s had luck sideloading apps or tweaking settings to improve integration BYD has commented on future support for iOS 26 features Cheers Automotive Industry

IOS26 has not been released unless you are a beta tester. BYD is unlikely to rollout any update to support IOS 26 CarPlay before Apple releases IOS 26 to the general public. The GA release of IOS 26 is due in the third week of September.
