We got jack shit. I spotted all the umbrellas, drink bottles and hats and asked them if we could get something. Answer was a no sorry. When compared to our purchase with Mercedes Benz, they gave us everything without asking along with free food and drinks from their cafe.

I got key chains, umbrella, cap, some chocolate, and were offered barista coffee. Sydney Alexandria. Really pleasant folks to deal with, lots of smile and respect. BMW dealership however barista wasn’t even making eye contact and she was borderline rude. So BYD got good score on this one in my book.

When I brought my Atto 3 I got away without having to talk to a car sales person. Being able to go to the website, pick the car, options and pickup location all at a reasonable price had more value to me than some "free" floor mats or an umbrella I'll loose or have fall apart in a few months time. I personally despise the expectation around car purchases that I have to go somewhere and "haggle" a over inflated RRP down to a reasonable price. It's a waste of my time and leads to a poor experience. I'm a 3 hour round trip from the physical dealer, I'll go there once to do a test drive and by that point I'm making a final decision between one or two competitors. I'm not going to waste days going back to the dealer to haggle. Thus when I was car shopping I came down to BYD or Tesla. Price your products reasonably and make it as easy as buying something from Amazon and you'll go straight to the top of my list of purchasing options.

I picked up the car yesterday. Got free mats and ceramic windows tint. Negotiated 1500 premium paint discount. It's end of year. If you can't negotiate right now, then you can't ever. + 4000 BYD discount on sealion 7 premium

Which dealership?

Negotiated similar deal with few western dealerships so you do have options.. Find a new salesperson, and say give end of year dealership discounts.. Say you have better offers from other dealerships and this is make and break. I went with one that gave me delivery in 4 days.. Booked on monday and picked on Friday. Just make sure you are ready to make the payment and sign the deal if you get a good deal.. Check at parra as well.. But delivery ain't quick there
