BYD testing new Blade battery tech in Australia – Longer range and lower costs coming?

Saw some cool news recently: **BYD has started testing an updated version of their Blade LFP battery on Aussie roads** – especially in WA where temps can get pretty extreme. From what I’ve read: * The new battery is supposed to have longer life and faster charging speeds than the current Blade packs. * BYD aims to **reduce battery costs by another 10% and boost range by at least 15%**. * These new packs could roll out from **2025 onwards** in models like the Seal, Shark, and Dolphin. * They’re putting the batteries through hot-weather testing here to make sure they’re solid in Aussie conditions. I reckon this is huge. If BYD can drop prices further while giving longer range, it’ll put even more pressure on other EV brands.

I’m really looking forward to this! The trailer looks amazing — can’t wait to see how the story unfolds.
