That’s just the engine sound simulator. Only happens at low speeds, but can be toggled on/off in the drop down shortcut menu. Although I think in some countries it can’t be turned off.

That’s actually quite nice and a lot nicer than the ‘drone’ you get with some other manufacturers

I think you might be on the "brand" settings. There is a normal mode too

Actually is more like a spooky chime, I love it.

We called it the ice cream van setting when we first got it and it felt quite loud and definitely noticeable. We turned ours off and have the much more quiet humming one. It's a good safety feature at low speeds.

That’s if you set the sounds from default to byd, either that or you haven’t updated to the patch where it fixed it playing them way too quietly and both at once

Yes, but I would describe is as crismasy jinglely. 🤣 You can hear it on YouTube. It is barely possible to hear it inside

Under 30km/h EVs make a sound so pedestrians hear the car. I changed it to a more neutral sound... You can choose between two in the dolphin. The other sounds like an ice cream truck!

It’s usually only really for reversing. From my understanding uk law on it is all Ev’s must make a noise while reversing to help stop people walking into the blind spot of the near silent tanks

My BYD in Australia is silent as a ghost when I reverse 😄

In Singapore, we are told by the agent that the function will be removed. It's a nuisance

Interesting. I'm also in aus and one day while leaving my parents house my mum was like "I love that your car plays a tune as you reverse" and I was like "what are you talking about?" So I got out and my partner reversed and sure enough there was a very soft tune as he reversed. We've got a 2025 dolphin
