Hi Can anybody tell me, when is the 1st service due on a SEAL U Dmi? I bought it on the 1st March this year so is it March next year or is there a running-in service that is done 1st? Thanks

Sorry to piggyback on your thread - but I thought I'd add my 2 cents here as well , rather than starting a new thread. I'm looking into the Dolphin schedule as well. The manual isn't much help! And online searches seem conflicting

The service schedule for the Seal U DMI can be found in the manual. First service is after 12500 miles or 12 months whichever comes first. In Australia, they have a service after the first 3000 km but that is not the case in the Europe including the UK.

The local dealer quoted three different schedules would be nice if there was some official clarification. Seal u dmi boost .. ( three different people at the dealer ) 10 k - 12k - 18k lol ( miles )

The service schedule is in the infotainment screen of your BYD where your manual is. You can also set it up in your car to remind you when the service is due. So, I would say you take some time and explore your infotainment system. Adding some pictures of the schedule too. Autos & Vehicles

My dealership, only this week, informed me that they would be servicing my Seal U at 10000 miles, which appears to be a free check up in reality. That information popped up due to my starting the car to move it to get another vehicle out, as I did so the engine warning appeared in the centre of the dash binnacle informing me to ‘take the vehicle immediately to your nearest dealership’ not wishing to spend ages at a dealer or wasting time time with something that could be an error I decided to investigate. What I found may be of interest to new owners and save you time and or worry unless of course you already know about it. This works for all models. Anyway I could find nothing wrong with the vehicle, the OBD port gave me a clean bill of health, across the board, but the warning sign just wouldn’t go away. What was it and why did it appear? Simply because someone either at the dealership or the factory had set the ‘service reminder’ to 187 days or ‘10000 miles’ That mileage is relevant to the free service/check at 10000 I changed both to the appropriate amount of days, depending on how many days /months you have had the car and miles, in my case 8860, and the warning disappeared An easy fix and one that saved a lot of unnecessary time and effort at a dealership. Though these days I have nothing but time just not a massive amount of it left Hope it helps others who experience that particular warning light.
