BYD Sealion 07 (Chinese version) imported to Europe – any way to convert DiLink to EU/Global firmware?

Hi everyone, I recently bought a **BYD Sealion 07 (2025, Chinese domestic version)** which was purchased in China and imported to Europe (currently in Albania). The car is **hardware-wise perfect**, but it is running the **Chinese version of DiLink**, which causes several major limitations: # 🚨 Current Issues * **ADAS systems do not work** * **Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available** * Native navigation does not work properly * All apps are Chinese-only (no Google services, no YouTube, etc.) * BYD mobile app does not work because the VIN is Chinese # ✅ What DOES work * The car **receives OTA updates** * Sensors, cameras, radar, and infotainment hardware are present and functional * The car is **LHD** # ❓ My Main Question Has **anyone successfully converted** a Chinese BYD (especially Sealion 07 or similar models) from **China DiLink → EU/Global DiLink**, or enabled EU/global features? I’m specifically interested in: * Full firmware conversion (DiLink EU/Global) * Head unit / ECU replacement with EU version * Engineering mode / flashing / coding * Any **real-world success stories**, GitHub repos, guides, or documented attempts I understand the risks (VIN locking, cryptographic signatures, backend services), so I’m looking for **technical, experience-based answers**, not guesses. I doubt having a Chinese VIN would be the reason. All BYDs built in China, regardless of whether they're CNDM or global models, have Chinese VINs usually beginning in LC0. However, your particular vehicle would have already had its VIN assigned to the CNDM region, so it would require intervention from BYD themselves, but as I'm no expert on grey market BYDs, I wouldn't know how to fix the situation you're in, but as it's the software that's the problem, I'm sure there is a way to flash the software to use the global version instead of the CNDM version.

Edhe unë kam të njejtën makinë. ADAC funksionon perfekt. Edhe parkimi automatik. Kam instaluar GBox dhe prej aty Google Maps dhe YouTube. Nëse do versionin evropian ka shumë firma që e ofrojnë nga 200 deri 500 euro.

ADAS te ka punuar qe nga dita 1 apo ka pasur nevoj per nderhyrje ne menyre qe te behet funksional? Vetparkimi dhe valetparking kane qene funksional qe ne fillim tek makina ime. Aplikacionet arrita ti instaloj nepermjet side loading. Tani me ka mbetur vetem te bej mobile app funksional dhe te aktivizoj ADAS. Me sa kam pare online, versionin 100% eu nuk e ofron asnje. Nese ke ndonje kontakt te lutem me thuaj

ADAS me ka punuar qe ne fillim. Une kam versionin Inteligent Navogation. Kontrollin me app nga telefoni mesa di une nuk e ofron askush.
