Sealion 7 frunk retrofit soft close

Found this sealion 7 soft close frunk on youtube https://youtu.be/keVh96BFAsI and I would love to get this one. I would appreciate if someone shares the details of parts and installation. My wife found it impossible to close it on her own and had to ask for help just to close the frunk today. Not sure if cold temperature makes it worse, but I did see some videos where they seem to close the frunk effortlessly. I struggled myself when I did it for the first time, watched a few videos lest I break something. Once I did it, it was manageable, but definitely requires both hands and a good firm pressure. Say on a rainy day me with my umbrella in one hand closing the frunk with the other after taking the charger out is just shy of impossible! Anyone else experience this?

I have seen kits on Ali express that converts the doors into soft close, I’m not sure about the hood.

I installed this in my BYD Seal and also wrote an instruction in the BYD Seal Forum: https://www.byd-seal-forum.de/forum/thread/1078-byd-seal-frunk-soft-close/?postID=39561#post39561 Should not really differ from the Sealion7

No experience with the soft close, but you can try slamming the hood like the side door (with moderate force, not excessive force). It was strange for me to do at first since you wouldn't do this on normal cars. Surprisingly it doesn't crash like a normal car hood but makes a typical door closing "thunk" noise. \^ If this doesn't work, or you're uncomfortable with slamming, the soft close might do it for you. But it is one potential failure point that seems terrifying to me, so I wouldn't modify it personally.
