Good Lord! Having driven this car I never thought it needed more power, but deciding to drop another 150hp on a 300hp car, and then sending all that to the front wheels? What we are looking at here is possibly the most powerful road-going fwd vehicle in history -- and it takes the shape of a bread box for rich folks.

Alphard is a wonderful car! My only issue with the Alphard is the price is very high to get a similar specification, almost 1.9 billion locally. The Denza costs only 950 million when launched. I had a discussion with a friend who told me the Denza was nice, but he was scared the electricity will run out when out of town. I joked to him -- its ok, if the battery gets low just visit the Denza dealer and buy a new D9. It will cost the same. One week ago, Toyota "Suddenly" started selling a lower spec Alphard but with the same seats. Smaller wheels, no HUD, no Toyota Safety Sense, no automatic doors for 500 million less (almost 5 million yen less). The #1 comment was, "Thank you Denza!"
