Go to your dealership?

TinyDemon000 2026-02-02 07:46

I suspect I may know What's wrong..... Someone poured oil over your BEVs electric motor 🤔

Why change the oil after driving only 500KM

Initial_Excuse7926 2026-02-02 08:28

I didn’t know electric cars required oil

Carmen_Bonkalot 2026-02-02 08:48

It's a PHEV. The bottom right is indicating HEV mode

It looks like an engine malfunction of sorts. Does the battery charge when you plug it into the mains? Some BYD (and other) dealerships aren't up to the task when it comes to PHEVs. I posted earlier about my experience 5 months ago. The car (Qin Plus Dm-i) was delivered to me with no engine oil. It was recovered by the dealership the next day and then they claimed the engine was full of oil and that the engine misfire was due to "fuel degradation". Make sure you take videos and document everything.

And I assume the car is they being serviced, right? The dealership is much more likely able to find the problem. Also: do not leave the transparent protective film on! The adhesive and heat damages the screen if left for a long time. It’s there to protect the car in transit. That’s why it tells you to remove the film before using it.

What car is this ??

This often happens if the 12V battery got low while the car was sitting during the service, or if a sensor was bumped. Hard Reset: Turn the car off, lock it, and wait 15 minutes. This clears many 'glitch' codes caused by low voltage. Check Connections: Did you unplug any sensors to get to the oil filter? If the oil pressure sensor is loose, the car will disable the engine (generator) to save it. Bonnet Latch: Ensure the bonnet is fully closed. The engine often won't start if the car thinks the hood is up, which can trigger a system error.

Why do you think random people on the internet can fix this?
