W comment HAHAH
All good. Just the protective barrier very slightly damaged.
Total write-off
its just a cover. The battery is very strong. Watch this video where they hard crash a Seal on both sides and the battery is fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2J0BVxt-rg
Thank you, I got really scared. I thought I would have to replace the whole pack.
Wow, I saw a clip of this. Thank you for the whole video. I really wanted a Seal but the roads of the Philippines is fcked.
The fact that i can’t tell for sure where the damage is, is probably a good sign for you, or a bad sign for me

Its just a plastic cover you'll be fine
You are ok, only slight damage to protection plates covers. Inside everything will be intact unless you start hearing abnormal noises while driving then it will need to get checked.
If you saw my Yuan Up's belly you would cry 😅 I have had to cross shallow rivers and nasty gravel roads, the sort of velvet it hasattached is meant to peel when hit so the engineers can see where it has been affected
Get can bus odb2 error codes (if any) from auto electrician
I'm sorry I am not really familiar with cars yet the last one I daily drove was a 1997 Corolla. May I ask why would I get a can bus odb2 error code?
Why are you posting on the BYD electric vehicle thread ?????
As I said I just got this car which is the BYD Seal 5 DM-i Premium (King or Destroyer 05 in some countries) and really not familiar yet with modern cars because before this car I daily drove an old ass car so I'm sorry for not being familiar with the bus odb2 error codes term. https://preview.redd.it/9tqzrfkoufgg1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4d7c54da688408923124cc1602f1a14d1e4c392
/s may have helped...
Yes
In Finland you would probably have to.
On Board Diagnostics, OBD is a rectangular port just below the dashboard / steering wheel, where mechanics can plug in their diagnostic tools to grab stats and values, error codes and diagnose the car. It's been a standard for ~15 years or more. For an EV, you have 2 ways to use it. pulling data for checking the battery, temperature and diagnostics / error messages occasionally. The other is to connect the car into navigation software so it can calculate a more accurate range estimate - similar to what Tesla cars have integrated. ABRP - is an alternative for Google Maps/Waze which is EV specific - and can include multiple EV charger networks in your trips to navigate to, so you don't have to bookmark various chargers while travelling. It takes into account your battery and range, weather conditions, weight/towing, and so on to produce an accurate range estimate and the chargers you prefer - and have accounts for. Both Sidecar and ABRP 's OBD features require subscriptions - so it's not 100% necessary - but you can trial it and see what the features are like - and if you need to use them. You can get a $10 to $50 Bluetooth OBD-II adaptor. If you have an iPhone - you need a model with Bluetooth LE. The Vgate vLinker MC+, the ODBLink CX+, MeatPi WICAN Pro, VGate iCar Pro 2S, are all Sidecar/ABRP and iPhone compatible. Plenty of others exist, but if you want a reliable model, start with those. https://sidecar.clutch.engineering/scanning/ https://www.iternio.com/abrp-obd The cheaper models like the ELM327 and veepeak are fine, but they won't work with some cars + OBD apps and some modern cars won't work with the cheap adapters - hence the price difference, as Ford/BMW/Others have their own code/protocols that require custom codes, PIDs, Encrypted data, et al. To pull error messages and battery health - you can use a $10 OBD-II dongle and an android phone/tablet nearby. To use it with navigation apps - you need a slightly more expensive model so it can grab lots of data quickly and reliably. You don't need the advanced / expensive adaptors - but if other BYD's do later become OBD encrypted - you may need specific OBD adapters that are authorised and can decrypt the data. For Android - Car Scanner, Torque, are available on Android - and work with Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE or WiFi adapters. for iPhone use - you'll need a Bluetooth LE adapter and Car Scanner. You don't need to pay money for most Car/OBD apps - but they often rely on saving and exporting for use by owners and mechanics. e.g. https://youtu.be/BFJgytuf5eM for Car Scanner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYRc0o7n8Sk Using the OBD with ABRP and Apple Carplay - to show EV chargers and charge state updates while driving i.e. for accurate estimated range and charger updates. If your BYD has a prior to OTA v1.4 update (check with other forums), Leaving the OBD in while locked - can cause an alarm to sound (as other people can break into some cars via OBD to 'unlock doors' and so on - Toyota and Kia's notably). As a result of the Carjacking/OBD Security problem - some of the recent car software updates (OTA updates) from November 2025 - in Europe, have 'locked' / encrypted the data from the OBD port via the update so it won't show vehicle stats, just the VIN and car information, sometimes 'basic' info like TPMS. If this happens - you won't see error codes or other information.
Cousin of mine in Leyte reinforced their fleet with aluminium.
Damn I would love to have it in mine, May I ask how much po and where?
Baybay, they just bought sheets and cut to size. Unsure if they welded it on.
That is pretty interesting, I might need to research more in my place in mindanao if there any shops that do it. Thank you so much anon
Have you got any photos showing the damage? 🤣
Worry if you start to see smoke
Any second now, xi ping will press the button
Youll be ok
That's nothing to worry about.
Ling ling car
What are Finlands rules?
If there are some signs of hitting something then you have to change the batteries. Something like 40 000 euro mistake.
