BYD Dolphin Surf frunk safety

Why didn't they put a frunk in the BYD Dolphin Surf? The frunks I see around aren't approved by BYD. Would it be a problem if I put one in? Since I don't know exactly if they'll be compatible, I was thinking of making one myself. For maximum safety, I wanted to use flame-retardant fabric. Do you see any drawbacks?

My question is what happens if you get into an accident, as the car designers were not expecting cargo to be present in that area. Also if such a mod has an impact on your insurance (That will probably vary depending on region and insurer)

Also BYD will charge you extra for servicing if they have to remove it.
