It’s the main thing that sucks about the car. I’d prefer if you could set it to a highway mode that gave a more pessimistic range estimation. I find I achieve closer to the rating just driving around town in mild weather when I don’t care much about the range estimation. As soon as you do distance drives then you have
to make your own estimation.

420km is a WLTP range, tested in the lab without A/C, stereo, lights. The real world range is around 80-90% of WLTP number, so the range you are getting is expected.
In the settings you can change the range number from standard to dynamic and it will show a more accurate number, based on your consumption, but it would still be +/-20km depending on the road conditions.
I have atto 3 with 60kWh and just think of the range to be no stress 300km and then a little extra to find the charger.

Ignore the range. It's nice to have a range estimate on the dash, but I never understood why it is given more prominence than the battery percentage or, even better, battery charge in kwh.
I get 4km for every percentage of the battery in the city, 3km/1% on the highway at around 100km/h. Above 100km/h it gets much worse really fast, that big frontal cross-section does not help the Dolphin aerodynamics at all. Snow or heavy rain can make those numbers worse by as much as 30%.
Finally, tire pressure also makes a huge difference. Make sure not to get below 250kpa (but not much above either, or ride quality will suffer even more).

I've found the Dynamic setting to be even worse on my Atto 3, it has even shown a higher range than the original unrealistic 480km at 100% figure!

Thanks, I ‘ll check if I can find this setting

If I charge to 100% then it says 495 km

I just had a rule of almost doubling, it’s that bad! If i needed to make the 112km to work, I knew I wouldn’t make it with anything under 180 showing on the range.
It’s fine once you know the car well, but imagine you rent one for a road trip with the family.

Yeah I've had that. Never got anywhere near 495km in the real world though! The range figure is so pointless I don't know why they bother.
Furthest I've ever gone on open road driving is 355km, went from 100% to rolling up to the charger on 4%. Would not recommend, not good for the stress levels.

I daily drive in very bad traffic. I found that the Brazilian expected range of 330km is very very realistic.
400+ only is viable in incredible less traffic, and with our any extreme weather ( especially for cold).

My Dolphin generally gets between 430 and 490km on a charge. Admittedly, where I am speeds are always between 30 and 70 kmh, but also with a fair few hills and mountains included. That’s with AC, lights and radio. Outside temp generally between 25 and 35 Celsius, which may have a huge positive impact on distance on a charge.

My 44kw does about 320km now.. Dropped from 360km now almost 2 years n 31+k kms

Although i only drive at 100km/h, i just drove 370km, from 100%, i have 16% left. The car has clocked 38k kms and has age around 2 years and 9 months from manufacturer date.
From my experience -20% from the dynamic dashboard is ok to follow if you drive within 100km/h.
My ambient temps outside are around 30\~35'c

isn't build-it routing application using that range estimate to correctly schedule stops? If that estimate is wrong, it will do too optimistic route planning. Am I wrong?

Do you drive over 80km/h often? This is typically the Achilles Heel of all EVs.
A_Ram

Not often, but this is the worst case distance for longer trips at 100-115km/h. In the city at 60-80km/h the range is probably around 400km.

Exactly my experience on a dolphin 60kWh. I use the dynamic setting and 300km range is easy even with AC in echo mode.

Higher than WLTP can be expected on urban driving
ChundaMars

Maybe, but I've certainly never come anywhere close to achieving 500km in urban driving, which is often reported as my range figure when 100% charged.

Dude, if you want help, you need to describe how you're driving it. What is your average speed? And what are the conditions in terms of cold or hot days? We can't help you with the information you've provided.

The 418km you're seeing is just the WLTP estimate, and honestly, the car’s display is notoriously optimistic because it doesn't "learn" your driving style like a Tesla does. For a 60kWh pack, 330-350km in real-world mixed driving is actually pretty spot on from what I've seen. You can try switching the range display setting from "Standard" to "Dynamic" in the cluster settings, which helps a bit. But yeah, that big gap between the sticker and reality is just how they calibrated the dash.

You drive 112km to go to work? Damn...
