Which is the best Android OBD app for the Dolphin?

Good afternoon everyone. I have successfully connected a Bluetooth OBD dongle & Android app to my BYD Dolphin. See details: Hardware: Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) OBD2 Software: Car Scanner ELM OBD2 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ovz.carscanner I'm new to using the OBD software. Before I pay £5 for Car Scanner, can anyone suggest a better version of software that specifically works well with the Dolphin?

I've got an OBDII adapter from my previous petrol car as it was 20 years old with minimal data available on the dashboard What can this show me that the BYD screen and app can't?

To be honest. No idea. The primary reason for me getting the dongle & app is so I can check the SOH of the main battery. The app does this. Mine's at 98% after a year, which is pretty normal.

You probably have wasted your money. The next round of software updates have started to be rolled out and BYD have been implementing OBD encryption of the data. This has mostly to stop OBD ghost key creation as well as car hacking. Only authorised OBD devices such as BYD's scan tool will work in the future.

For a BYD Dolphin with Bluetooth OBD2, Car Scanner is solid, but you might also check out Torque Pro and OBD Auto Doctor, lots of people like those for more PIDs and custom dashboards. Youcanic also has guides on which apps work best for different vehicles if you want to compare before you pay.

Check out Car Scanner Pro, Torque Pro, and Youcanic. All work well for live data and codes, each with its own way of displaying gauges and information

I already have torque pro. I find it difficult to use. I can't find how to find & import a csv for the Dolphin. Much appreciated if someone does. I can't find youcanic app for Android.

Thanks for your replies. I have gone for Car Scanner Pro Cheers.
