Dolphin Base Model Thailand Right Now

olindacat | 2026-01-07 14:26 | 18 views

Can anyone tell me if this is a good car for Thailand? I am comparing this against a bigger, more expensive Jaecoo J5. I think the J5 is more modern, but I am afraid too big for Thai driving, etc. Does anyone know or have any thoughts, maybe soeone who lives in or knows the Thai scene and this model? Thanks.

TeslaBjorn on YT Visits Thailand and checks out locally available EVs, keep an eye on his channel. He covered Thai spec cars before they became available in Europe.

Thanks. I have to take delivery on Monday to get the end of year deal, so kinda in a hurry to get any feedback I can. Appreciate the recommendation.

Great car, although I have the Extended version which although a bit less cheap, still amazing value with lots of added extras but most importantly a lot more power, bigger battery and better rear suspension. I’m seriously considering buying a second one soon, but I think future new deals will be as good or better than the current deal.

What are the prices in Thailand? In Indonesia, the Jaecoo J5 is ~$16,666 and the BYD Dolphin is ~$24,600. Lowest model for both.
