2025 dolphin and ICC

Razielskorp | 2025-12-31 09:17 | 18 views

I have had a dolphin since October, and on the whole very happy with it. I have noticed, however, that if I'm driving in twilight conditions, either in the morning or afternoon, the ICC doesn't work, I assume due to the lighting conditions. (I live in Scotland, so this is a daily occurrence at this time of year). Is anyone else getting this, or should I get it looked at? It all works fine if it's full daylight or full dark, it's like the system gets confused in "lower light" when there's oncoming headlights etc.

It could just be the cameras being confused by low sun coupled with oncoming headlights, the system will shut down as a safety measure if it can't be sure what it's looking at. This is exacerbated by having a dirty windscreen in front of the cameras, keeping it free of smudges helps a lot.

Thanks, I'll give that a go 🙂

It is pretty common for camera based ICC to have issues driving direct into sunlight or during heavy rain. Make sure all the cameras are clean as a bit of grot can make the problem much worse.
