Any advice for the day of collection

V2L should be included. Rubber boot map is an extra they would have paid for. First and foremost detail to check is that the VIN matches the paperwork. Dealer should have double-checked this before handover but double-check yourself. (Getting handed the wrong car happens) It can be a bit of a pain to sort out after the fact, and will have issues with insurance claims neither affected owners notice they have the wrong car. Give the car a good walk-around outside and in. Check paint for any scratching/swirls, and especially chips on door edges. Check lights all working. (Dolphin has 1 reverse light, the pairing light on the other side is a running light) Open all doors and make sure they swing properly and feel normal not loose. Check stitching for any signs of separation/quality issues, Sit in each seat, make sure the seatbelt works properly. Check front visors staying in position and clipping properly, give stuff a good nudge/wiggle for anything that feels loose. Open and close rear boot, check it is smooth and latches cleanly. Same for the charging port hatch. Lock the car and ensure the hatch does not open. Test the lock button on the handle (if on the comfort model) Ensure both key fobs work.

I also took lots of pictures of the exterior. You can check for scratches etc, but in the heat/excitement of the moment, you can easily miss something, and impossible to prove afterwards that a scratch was pre-existing unless you have pictures. Also make sure you get 2 keys, key card and cables. The most important thing… enjoy the experience
