Tesla Superchargers

Hello again BYD users, My concern is that the Tesla Superchargers work for many non-Tesla Cars, but one cannot charge a BYD on them. It just fails to start the charging process. I subscribed and met with all the Tesla conditions, and I tried to charge at two different Tesla superchargers, that were supposedly in working order. It seem that the BYD's even in other countries have an identical problem. Plugged in and will not start. The two chargers that I tried were listed as open to non-Tesla cars. Is this something that a software update might fix, or is it beyond the technology of the 2023 BYD? On a good charger my BYD Atto3, can charge at 89KW/h, but these charging points are very rare in Ireland...hence the attractiveness of the Tesla ones. It could be an issue with the charge selection. I have a feeling it is because the Tesla Supercharger is sending an unsupported Plug & Charge signal, and NOT an auto charge signal. Autocharge: automatically starting a charging session at supported CCS charging points. I have charged my seal at Tesla Superchargers in Athenry, Ireland. Charged ok, a little fiddky though had to connect and disconnect a few times to get it to work

I am a BYD Atto 3 owner in Sydney Australia and had the same problem with the car not able to charge on the 250kw Tesla superchargers in Albury. It also caused the electric lock to fail and the charging connector could not be pulled out - we used the manual unlock to pull out the charging connector. I suggest all BYD owners get familiar with where the manual unlock is, as we were not. I was subsequently told by BYD Customer Care in Brisbane that this appears to be a problem with some BYDs across the range - apparently the Seals are meant to be able to use a 250kw chargers but some Seals cannot, while Atto 3s are not meant to be able to (only rated up to 88kw) but many can use the Tesla 250kw chargers. This was confirmed by the very helpful Tesla drivers we met in Albury as they regularly see BYDs charging on the 250kw Tesla chargers. BYD say they are investigating the problem.
