Dashcam in Ireland?

Hi BYD users, I'm new to the Forum . I have the BYD Atto3 Design since June2023, and I really think that it is a very good car. I have travelled much of Ireland in it, and the car has 11,500 on the clock. I love the Adaptive Cruise Control...which seem to work seamlessly well. The only significant issue that I have is that while the car has great cameras, and a great Storage capacity, we in Ireland have our dashcam facility disabled. I can see that similar BYD's in New Zealand, and Australia have this facility enabled. MSL in Dublin said that they were prevented, by the Irish regulators from enabling it...makes little sense to me...I reached out to the Irish NSAI who stated that they had not placed such a restriction on the BYD's Mystery...just a small one...but a desirable feature quelled. Anyone have any idea on why the restriction? Regards Billy Forum & Chat Providers
