Dolphin vs Dolphin Surf, Denmark

Hi all, It's a very niche and specific question, but it's about BYD so I'm posting it here. I'm relocating to Denmark in the future from NA, and these two BYD models caught my eye. (It was a progression of the Smart EQ fortwo -> Mini Cooper SE -> BYD). My main questions as someone who has never been in Europe is, which would make my life easier in the long term? The Surf is appealing because it's smaller than the standard Dolphin, and I heard parking is notoriously difficult in Europe. However, to my understanding only the Comfort trim has the 360 camera, and even the comfort trim doesn't have blind spot detection. The area where I live currently has very few cyclers and pedestrians, and our lanes are huge, which is why kitting my car with all these safety features is very appealing. However, again, with the larger size I'm worried about maneuverability. Has anyone noticed any substantial difference when driving the two? For reference I'm currently driving a GLC300 which is quite a bit bigger, but I'm used to having a lot of space and currently don't drive in the city core (suburbs). Just curious if any of you have any opinions on either model, as they both have more than enough range for my commute. TIA!

We have test driven both and they were excellent. The surf (Atto 1 in Australia) has a 115 kw motor vs the 150 kw of the Dolphin. Being a smaller car meant it still had plenty of punch. It felt that it had been built to a price and some of the finish wasn't as good. Also the 310 km range was a concern. The four seats vs five in the dolphin might also be a worry to some.

You don't need the 115kW motor. I've got the 65kW and it's more than the small tyres can handle.

Go with the mini Lamborghini

The Dolphin is so much better. It's much quicker. It's quicker than the Atto3. Proper interior. Just high quality all around. I'm talking about the Dolphin Premium, of course. I've been driving one for the last week instead of my Atto 3. And they do deals on the dolphin because it's in a weird spot right now.

Former Lamborghini designer Wolfgang Egger led the design of the Seagull (aka Atto 1, Dolphin Surf), earning it the nickname “Lamborghini mini”

No problem with parking in Europe, my Seal is 4,8m long and 1,88m wide. You should get a 1 year old Dolphin with +- 12 000 km mileage, which has better battery and more power - 204 hp - and you still gonna have a lot of warranty left ... instead of a new Dolphin Surf (makes no sense to buy Surf).
