Atto 2 DM-i vs Seal U DM-i — which would you pick and why?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between the BYD Atto 2 DM-i and the BYD Seal U DM-i. The key point for me is that the Atto 2 is about €7k cheaper, yet seems to offer almost the same features. From what I can tell, both have the plug-in hybrid system and similar tech/comfort levels, but obviously they’re different sizes and styles. Would you go for: 🔹 Atto 2 DM-i — better value, smaller, cheaper? or 🔹 Seal U DM-i — more premium/roomier, worth the extra €? Would love to hear from people who have driven both or own one. • What were your priorities? • Which felt better in daily life? • Any surprises after buying? Thanks 🙏

Have driven the atto 2 electric and chose the seal UDMI. Felt much more premium for minimal monthly cost, more comfortable drive, HUD, seats were more comfortable for me as well and the 'speedometer' was more visually appealing

I’m leaning towards the Seal-U dmi myself, but I’m trying to make sense for it 😭 I also like the boundless cloud color (which is not available for the atto 2)

I chose the seal as long commuter miles with work so like the short trips on EV and then long trips 400+ miles I can do with the hybrid and tank of fuel. Each to their own k guess

Fair enough, the cost I got the seal for just made more sense to me and like the fact I can use the fuel if needed for said long trips Maybe once I've been in it for a few years the next car will be full EV

I’ve yet to try the Atto 2 but I’ve had my Seal U (Sealion 6 in my country) for about 6 months now and I’m very happy with it! Definitely more space and has a nice ride quality. The engine could be a bit more efficient (average about 17-18km/L purely on ICE). With the EV fully charged it’s a lot more efficient but the 18.5 kWh battery drains pretty quick! I can only squeeze about 80km of use before it switches to HEV mode
