Atto 3 heated steering wheel turns off immediately

Hi everyone, I’m curious if anyone else has had an issue with the heated steering wheel on the BYD Atto 3. I got the car about two weeks ago and just noticed that the steering wheel heating doesn’t seem to work at all. When I touch the button to turn it on, it lights up briefly but then turns off again by itself. The steering wheel never actually gets warm. All other heating functions work perfectly (seats, etc.). I’ve already tried all driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport), but it makes no difference. I also checked for software updates and nothing comes up but I think it has the latest update. I even tried resetting the infotainment system by holding the volume button for about 10 seconds, but that didn’t change anything. I already contacted the dealership where I bought the car, but I wanted to ask here as well in case this is a known issue or someone has experienced the same thing. Has anyone had this problem? Was it software-related or did it turn out to be a hardware issue? Thanks in advance Update: I took it to the dealership and they said they “didn’t do anything”… yet somehow it started working again. I’m pretty sure they did something with the battery though. Anyway, at least it’s working again

I am not in Europe, but my ER Atto 3 does not come with a heated steering wheel. Are you sure that this feature is fitted to your car?

I have exactly the same problem. Have emailed dealer. Would rather not have to go through the hassle of taking it in, but it's winter

Good question, I did not think about it. But Yes, according to [this](https://www.byd.com/material/byd-site/es-es/pdfs/atto-3/ATTO3-2025-BPS-ES-V1-web.pdf?utm_source=chatgpt.com), it should have that feature.

Yes. They told me they will contact me and that it should be “just a cable” nothing dramatic. I hope so

Seems to be a common problem going by posts on Facebook. Some wiring, some updates for fix. At least my arse is warm 😂

😂 I saw on Facebook that some people just pulled the negative terminal off the car battery to reset everything and it worked for them… but knowing me, I’d probably break something.

Yeah, been advised not to reset the 12v for warranty reasons but it's not frowned upon in the manual so might just try it

If it's the facelift Design, it does

Did you manage to get this sorted? If so, how?

Not yet. I have an appointment at the end of the month at the dealership. They’ll try disconnecting the battery and resetting the car, which might fix it. They said they’re not entirely sure what the problem is, but BYD has already been notified. Hopefully, that will resolve it. I will write again after the appointment
