Which dealer? I ordered mine 2 weeks ago from BYD Haberfield and am picking it up this week
Order on the Saturday the 31st Nov got it on the 6th Dec in Adelaide. was told they we may not get it until the next shipment sometime in late Jan but few days later they assigned a vin and i got the invoice for the outstanding amount
Parramatta
Parramatta told me 6-8wks or longer then I got in touch with Haberfield (through leasing company) and they said 2 weeks and assigned a VIN within 48hrs or so. I did give feedback to Parramatta that it was a big difference and as I could get more certainty with Haberfield I went with them. The salesperson at Parra said she "should" be able to get it in the same time (not "it's in our holding yard and I can assign you a VIN)

I ordered on 2nd December in Melbourne and have just been told by the end of the month to mid Feb when it was initially end of December/January. No allocation as of yet. Has anyone in Melbourne got theirs?
This seems to be a lottery - ordered my a week ago now saying Feb/March - trying for the white but the dark grey abs black seem to be more in supply
The only update I have received is that it's 2-3 weeks from receiving your VIN number to having car delivered! So I am not even confident I will have have it by the end of Feb when I was told early Jan initially when ordering
