Low speed audio not audible on my Atto 3

Nthcoastnoody | 2026-03-07 19:09 | 27 views

I've often read BYD owners discussing the low speed audio made when travelling below 30km/hr... Regardless of whether I select the default or brand option, I do not hear an audible sound emanating from my Atto 3 (2025). Software version 2503 - is/was there a patch that fixed this? Edit: Issue resolved

You can turn it on or off in the settings. You probably have it turned off.

I do not have a setting to turn it on or off... If you have a photo of said setting please share

Just had to check my car. Swipe down from the top on the screen, should bring up a menu.  Press the custom button at the bottom and there should be an icon for 'engine sound simulator'. It defaults to on so you want to turn if off'. This is in aus software version 13.1.32.2503250.1 Not sure if you're running a different version but it should be there somewhere!

Yep, I'll triple check but pretty sure that is set on... Thanks for confirming Edit: same version

Yeah it's a bit counter intuitive, you turn it off to turn the sound on!!

Ironically it didn't work when I drove the car this morning, go figure...

It's pretty quiet and subtle, sounds like a soft 'shhhh' sprt of noise. Nothing like an engine. If you put the window down and turn it on and off you should be able to hear it.
