Dashcam tips for 2026 Atto 2?

Not sure about aftermarket brands, but I installed the Byd oem front camera in my atto 2. Cost about $100 from nicebyd including an sd card and pry tool, but can be had for about half that from Ali express. The cables are already there in the car, you just need to pry off the plastic around the rear view mirror, plug in the cable and it slots in perfectly. 20 min job, I guess some other markets have the camera installed as standard so it’s easier for Byd just to leave all the cabling, etc there. You can see the camera live or all the previous recordings on the main screen in the car. Only 1080 quality I think but for me that’s good enough if there’s an accident. You get full telemetry in the recordings if you want (speed, status, etc). Alternatively I’ve read about a few apps (electro or bydsentry) which apparently you can side load and record and get access to all the cameras and use it as sentry mode, but not sure if that’s compatible with the latest Byd models. Do a search on reddit and there are plenty of mentions of them.

Yep, I got my atto 2 just a couple of weeks ago, there’s a helpful Facebook group called ‘Byd atto 2 Australia owners group’ if you’re also on Facebook, lots of info in there including about the dash cams and a couple of videos as well of how to install
