BYD atto 3 just stopped driving

Hi all, I had this issue last week and I was wondering if it's something others have experienced as well. Basically what happened: I was driving in a straight line and slowed down behind a bus. My BYD just stopped driving out of nowhere. The red cable signal lit up and I got the message that the car was discharging. This happened several times after that as I was trying to get the car to the garage. I also was not able of plug in the charging cable to the car. It just wouldn't physically go in. I still managed to get it driving again and brought it to the mechanic. They couldn't find anything wrong with it. Since then I haven't had any issues but that also worries me. I'm hoping someone reading this can perhaps provide some info or clarity. P.S. Probably unrelated but 2 weeks prior to this issue the 12v battery died and had to be replaced.

Maybe you got a faulty 12v battery. Might be worth getting it checked for fault codes.

I'd check the 12v connections.

The 12V battery only powers the accessories when the car is moving and the OP lost propulsion.

Something is wrong with either the 12V system or the charging subsystem which is required for proper functionality. The red plug indicator shows up when you're plugged into a charger, which also immobilises the vehicle until your unplug it. The fact that you were unable to plug a charger in does sound like your car thinks it has a charger plugged in all the time, the obstruction is the anti-theft pin that engages when charging normally

By their description car thinks it has a V2L adaptor plugged into the charging port whilst driving. There could be a fault with the charging subsystem, in normal operation when charging or discharging the vehicle is immobilised and the red plug symbol will show on the dash. Add that to them being unable to plug a charger in, the charge port may be faulty.
