Unable to connect BYD Atto 3 to BYD App – vehicle already linked to another account

Hello everyone, I’m having an issue connecting my BYD Atto 3 (2024) to the BYD App. When I turn on the car and scan the QR code shown on the screen, the app displays a message saying that the vehicle is already associated with another BYD account. From what I understand, the vehicle is still linked to a previous owner or dealer account in the country of origin, and it needs to be unbound/unlinked via BYD Europe using the VIN. Has anyone experienced the same issue with an imported BYD? What is the best way to get the vehicle account unbound so I can pair it with my own BYD App? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I had a similar issue, although not an import. In Australia I had to email BYD Customer Support with proof of purchase rego etc to have the car transferred into my name, this then allowed me to access it in the app. customercare@bydautomotive.com.au You may need to research the right email address for your location.
