I bought the yuan up/yuan pro/ atto2

Firm_Ad_5968 | 2026-01-30 19:55 | 61 views

I haven't received it yet, but please tell me honestly how the vehicle is. I heard something about the shock absorbers and other issues, like it sometimes not starting. It's my first electric car, and everyone told me it was a mistake, that the battery would degrade quickly.

I have one, it’s great, comfy and I am super happy with it :) feel free to ask specifics, my version is the normal range (312km)

Joeseph392 2026-01-30 20:01

1.500km on mine Yuan up 2025 ( chinese version). 0 issues Very smooth car and super fast when needed I have it with BYD God's eye which features autopilot 13 cameras and 12 sensors plus autopark! Wonderful and premium car . Drives around 380km to 410km depends on your driving modes.

MaartenTum 2026-01-30 20:01

I have the atto2 and honestly: I love it 😍😍

User_paulolima 2026-01-30 20:05

I have a Seagull/Surf/Dolphin Mini. And my next car will be this one, congratulations on your purchase.

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-30 20:05

This one is 380 km but it definitely depends on the conditions

Blankbusinesscard 2026-01-30 20:09

3 years and 70K Km in on an Atto3, best daily driver I've had in 30 years on the road

Bokbreath 2026-01-30 20:10

The battery will last 15-20yrs before dropping to about 70% of new capacity.

chesq00 2026-01-30 20:20

For conditions, I live in the middle of Spain so weather goes from -1 in winter at worst to 38/39 on summer. I drive mostly city, some highway

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-30 20:37

Thanks bro

TinyDemon000 2026-01-30 20:45

Hola, What's your average kw/km? :)

timgriffinau 2026-01-30 21:40

400km on my Aussie Atto 2 Premium and it's great. Also own a Sealion 7 and previously a Tesla Model 3 and it's as good or better in some cases as either (for the price). Energy efficiency is crazy good (better than my RWD Model 3 and the Atto 2 has roof racks on it)

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-30 22:01

At that point, it's better to change vehicles than to buy a new battery.

OptimusTron222 2026-01-30 22:11

Feels like trash! Have been in some Yuan Up and Pro taxis and those absolutely suck. Even the dash is fully plastic, like hard scratch able plastic, car feel disconnected yet heave and can create motion sickness even though has that smooth EV acceleration. Running it is cheap though, ground clearance is good and it has good space for its size, it just feels even cheaper than it is imo

OptimusTron222 2026-01-30 22:14

70% battery capacity doesn’t mean it will give you 70% of the range as battery internals will be completely messed up. Those things have a 10-15 years of usable lifespan if used in mild climates, in cold places it will be even worse

damsonsd 2026-01-30 22:24

I've had my Atto 2 for about three months. It's great. No problems at all, unless you count getting used to an automatic. Quality and performance are better than my previous BMW. Tech is brilliant, but also a bit of a learning curve.

A_Ram 2026-01-30 23:13

It is a very good car. I haven't seen any issues with shock absorbers. Not starting? haven't seen anything like this either. The battery will degrade 1-2% per year. It seems like a typical EV heaters talk, so just ignore it.

Zestyclose_Paint3922 2026-01-30 23:21

Western propaganda. Chinese are years away from competition on EVs. Which country and how much was it?

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-31 00:05

From what I've seen and tried, it has many soft areas.

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-31 00:08

But I read that you can replace degraded modules or cells; the trend indicates that batteries will become increasingly cheaper.

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-31 00:09

Thank you, here in my country (Ecuador) there is a lot of ignorance, fear and skepticism about electric cars

andrew467866 2026-01-31 00:15

I have just picked up mine, too! It's been wonderful to drive. Averaging about 13-14kw/h per 100km, using the AC.

OptimusTron222 2026-01-31 00:21

You are in for an underwhelming experience, the car feels like a tin can. If you got the Song Plus for about 4-5 thousand usd more it would have been 100% different, this one tho, it’s bad, like cheapest of the cheap feeling bad, I would go as far and assure you that a Golf 4 has better interior quality than this

Ok-Refrigerator1601 2026-01-31 02:41

I have 10,000 km on my Yuan Pro, it's a beauty, I haven't had a single problem so far, absolutely everything works perfectly. The advertised range is actually 350-360 km in the city, which is more than enough for my daily use. Without a doubt, the best purchase I've ever made.

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-31 02:48

I hope mine turns out this good, without any factory defects.

Wonka0998 2026-01-31 03:20

Sorry mate but I think that was not an Atto 2. Sounds more like a Toyota 😂

Wonka0998 2026-01-31 03:37

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-31 03:39

Thanks bro, I'll keep that in mind

Wonka0998 2026-01-31 03:41

Not quite. EVs have been around for longer than people realize. We've already got the first batch of old Nissan Leafs getting battery swaps for cheaper than buying a new car and they're left with more than 500km of real range (way more than their original range when new).

Wonka0998 2026-01-31 03:44

It depends on how the battery is built. Techs here in Costa Rica have determined that the BYD Blade batteries in particular are not only indestructible (marketing) but also unrepairable. There's too much glue and complex soldering that makes repairing them unviable.

Firm_Ad_5968 2026-01-31 03:45

Sure, if it lives up to its claims about battery life, then it would be a good buy.

anthrox 2026-01-31 04:09

had Atto2 Premium for 2 months done over 2000km been fantastic, started playing around with sports mode dam its fast. anyone know where to find a service manual?

MusaaKhan 2026-01-31 08:45

We booked the same car four days back in Pakistan and tentative delivery is in March. So excited!!

OptimusTron222 2026-01-31 09:18

I haven’t been on a Toyota being that bad, not even the Yaris. Sealion 07 is a nice BYD, this one is a trash tier BYD

One_Neat_749 2026-01-31 10:45

Don't feed the trolls...

Wonka0998 2026-01-31 12:49

Sorry mate, I just can't believe you 😂. I've been in almost every BYD, Yaris, Corollas and Rav4s and the Toyotas look and feel like trash compared to the BYDs. I guess it's just your opinion, but you gotta know you're in the minority.

OptimusTron222 2026-01-31 14:39

Look, I do not expect BYD to compare with Range Rover, it is supposed to be in a Toyota/Hyundai category. Sealions are nice, Yuan is not, that one is rly bad. I say this as someone who also likes BYDs

CompetitionSad65 2026-02-20 00:13

do you have the 95 hp version or the 170?

Severe-Development28 2026-02-27 21:27

Same . excitedd

Spiritual_Pangolin18 2026-03-07 19:40

I just discarded the idea of buying a KIA EV3 because of this car. Not only atto 2 offers more for less, but Kia EV3 has issues with the ICCU that everyone has been complaining about.
